Located in one of Brighton's oldest twitten lanes, this truly unique central Brighton holiday cottage is reputedly one of the oldest houses in Brighton, dating back to 1565. The Birdcage has all the glamour of a boutique hotel and with its fantastic South Lanes location is perfectly situated in the heart of the Brighton’s sophisticated shopping and classy restaurant district.
TV’s interior designer Sophie Robinson and her husband Tom have really made a fantastic job of renovating and designing this property in a unique and original style. The interior walls are adorned with dancing birds and butterflies, vintage style wall pockets and visual treats abound. Sophie’s original design, providing a different and colourful theme for each of the three bedrooms.
The three double bedroom cottage comprises of an open plan living room with two sofa’s – one of which is a double sofa bed for groups larger than 6 people.

The open plan micro kitchen is fully equipped.
There is no dining room, but with the best of Brighton's restaurants on your doorstep you really won’t want to stay in to cook, but there is everything you need for preparing a simple meal or takeaway on laps.
On the first floor there is a double bedroom with basin.
Separate wet-room with twin showers, basin and WC, underfloor heating.
On the second floor a further two bedrooms, one with basin.
These bedrooms have zip and link beds which can be arranged as twin rooms or king size doubles.
Due to the age of the property the doorways and staircases are unusually narrow. Sorry, no disabled access.
There is a small outside covered terrace, but no furniture.
The terrace can be connected to give access to the next door property, Smugglers Retreat, - we offer a 5% discount should you book both.
