“Absolutely wonderful stay and house” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Reviewed 6 Sep 2016
I cant thank Jill and Ben enough for such a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful - each room was immaculate and very well provisioned for. The kitchen was incredible and was the hub of our stay, it had everything you could need to provide for a large group, down to the little things that really made the finishing touches such as games, candles, coal and firelighters for the bbq. I cant think of anything that would make the house better! The location is brilliant with a bus stop at the end of the road to take you across into Brighton, there are two lovely pubs on the coast in walking distance and you have very easy access by foot to the South Downs national trails. Highly recommend this property for any large group that would like the luxury of a beautiful house and garden with access to all the key features of Brighton and surrounding areas.

Jill & Ben are the nicest couple you could meet. They met us (group of 13) at the house, went through a few things that would help us enjoy our stay. The bus is literally end of road with a 20 minute ride into Brighton. The house was lovely, well stocked, clean, tidy, It was like going home to home. Would definitely recommend Broomfield House, it made our best weekend.
“Amazing house, fully equipped for a weekend with a big group★ ★ ★ ★ ★.”

We booked this house to accommodate a group of 14 for a family get together in August 2016. The rooms are great but the best space is the huge kitchen and outside seating area with bbq. There is plenty of fridge and freezer space and tons of glasses and other amenities. The house also has plenty of parking but it's only walking distance to the beach. Jill and Ben were really helpful when we checked in and we had no issues with check out and got the deposit back quickly. Overall a perfect place for a family get together, Christmas with the family or hen party, they made sure we had everything we needed. Overall it was such a great weekend and a perfect house. Thanks Jill & Ben :)
“Great property and perfect location!★ ★ ★ ★ ★”

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this great property located in a perfect location. Twelve members of various ages from 16 to 77 years old were never bored...weather was great which was a blessing! Brighton is within a short distance as is the vibrant Marina with its numerous restaurants etc. The house itself has everything in home comforts that one would need. There are two comfortable lounges each with widescreen TV in the house which is excellent if some guests prefer to read and others play board games or watch TV. The kitchen is huge and has excellent cooking and fridge/freezer facilities...we were pleasantly surprised to find 2 bottles of Cava in waiting for us together with various other essentials as a starter to our holiday! Bedrooms were adequate and beds comfortable also must mention a super large garden to maybe relax or enjoy a BBQ. Lastly no problem at all with parking directly on front of property for 3 or 4 cars! YES! I would thoroughly recommend this property.
“Amazing weekend!★ ★ ★ ★ ★”
Reviewed 4 Jul 2016 The weekend started off with Jill & Ben showing us around the house, lovely owners who really exceeded in making the stay perfect. They even provided small necessitates such as milk, bread, tea, coffee etc which was a lovely touch and even some Cava which was much appreciated! The house itself is beautiful - very modern, clean and fully equipped for all 15 guests! Large bedrooms with ample bedding and towels for everyone. We used the BBQ on the Friday evening which was great, they even supplied some coal. We made good use of the the fantastic large table outside! There is lots nearby, a few took the bus into Brighton with the bus stop being about a 5 minute walk from the house and we also enjoyed a takeaway from the Thai around the corner. The views are stunning as well! Would recommend this house to anyone!
“Just perfect for our extended family holiday ★ ★ ★ ★ ★”

Jill and Ben are excellent hosts and they made us feel most welcome in their home. The 'goodies' in the fridge - especially the Cava - were much appreciated after our journey. Broomfield House met our needs perfectly. The kitchen is well equipped; the long table was great for family meals, playing board games and colouring in books. It was also a real bonus to have two comfortable lounges, both with TVs. We were lucky with the weather so could make full use of the lovely garden: it was an ideal playing area for our grandchildren and for barbecues. The house is well situated. There is a very good bus service and we used it for hops into Rottingdean, Brighton and Seaford. We enjoyed an excellent curry from the takeaway at the end of the road. Sunday lunch, on the decking overlooking the sea, at the Smuggler's Rest was the perfect end to our holiday. 10/10 at the very least!

The house is very clean and large, the garden is amazing, the neighbours amazing didn't see or hear from them. The garden is big and great large table to seat 15 people around it !!! The beds are comfortable, the area is fab 10 mins on bus to brighton, £2 50 every 10 mins at the end of the road. The pub at end of road has a great roast dinner, lovely people. "Great venue for family get together★ ★ ★ ★ ★"
There were seven adults and four small children/babies in our group. We had good communication between Jill and Ben and ourselves before, during and after our stay. They were very helpful and accommodating. The garden was ideal for children being fully enclosed. The kitchen was great for family meals together and because there were two lounges there was opportunity for some space. I was concerned about the children and the white suite before we went but Jill provided throws which could be easily washed. There is plenty to do in the area for all ages. The bus is very convenient and easy to use into Brighton.

"Fantastic holiday rental !★ ★ ★ ★ ★"
I booked Broomfield house for a short break with family and friends to celebrate my birthday.
All dealings with Jill the owner were prompt and very friendly, with lots of helpful advice.
The house is well situated and within walking distance of two family friendly pubs – both good for lunch / evening meal.
We drove to the house and managed to fit 4 cars on the drive, but some people got the bus from Brighton and said it was very easy. The house is perfect for a get together, with a brilliant, large kitchen, which we utilised fully with big group meals.
I am a keen foodie and was impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was – especially the number of glasses, plates etc.
The room layout was good, although it was probably good that we didn't need to use one of the lounges for sleeping, as one only had a curtain to separate it from the rest of the house (fine for an odd night, but not great with lots of noisy children running round!).
My husband and I stayed in the master, which had an on-suite and (side) sea views – lovely room
Jill provided a cot for my 1 year old niece, but no high-chair – this wasn't a problem as we brought our own, but worth noting.
All in all we had a great time in this beautiful house and are trying to think up other celebrations so we can come back!
Thank you Jill (and Ben) for everything – we had a brilliant stay.
"a great place for a vacation with lots of things to do ★ ★ ★ ★ ★"
Broomfield house was perfect for us! Enough space for 14 people (6 adults, 8 teenagers) to relax and enjoy a wonderful vacation. The big kitchen, the two living-rooms and the beautiful garden made it easy for us to have a good time together.
There was so much to do: sightseeing in Brighton, swimming, hiking in the South Downs, a day-trip to London, visiting the parks and houses of the national trust....
Last but not least, Jill and Ben were great hosts. They really made us feel welcome and helped out when ever needed, e.g. Ben fixed the minor damages our group made in the house.
Thanks for a wonderful time, Jill and Ben
