Overview

Feel like you are staying in your own private hotel, with fresh linens, lashings of hot water and an area to chill before hitting the city. This bright regency townhouse with seaviews from the top two floors is on the same road as Brighton's beautiful Dome Theatre. You're on a quiet road yet within minutes of buzzing West Street (for clubs), the seafront's nightlife and the shopping nirvana of the North Laine and The Lanes (we'll tell you which is which!).

Lovingly restored to it's Regency glory, you really couldn't find a more central location - Brighton station is just a five minute' walk away. If you're driving, we advise using the 24 hour car parks very nearby or check out Parkopedia.com for parking ideas : you won't need the car once you arrive!

This newly refurbished, former sea captain's house has a newly created large, fantastic social space/kitchen diner with an exposed brick feature wall, a large range cooker, wooden floors and a beautiful hand-crafted wooden table to comfortably seat 16. All appliances are new including the (we think) very groovy bright pink Smeg fridge!

There is wifi throughout the house and beautiful white plantation shutters. We also love the living room with its twin chandeliers, Farrow and Ball colours and sumptuous regency coving (restored by the same craftsman who worked on the Harry Potter movies). There is also a large flat screen TV

There are three bathrooms all with natural slate floors. We hope you love the luxurious roll-top bath and the "getting ready" pamper area for those preparing to hit the town with its three Hollywood-style illuminated dressing room mirrors and stylish drift wood make-up table.

The house is in a great location. Easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, shopping and beach/pier. Ben was very attentive and a great host. If driving, it's worth noting that there's no street parking nearby and car parks are expensive.

Thanks for the feedback Shirley. The house is right in the middle of the city. It means you can walk everywhere and don't need taxis. The best car park is Church Street which does a great early bird discount of £7.50 per day if you're there before 8.30am. Alternatively what some guests do is park on Dyke Road - 20 mins walks away and leave their car there for their stay. Brighton Station is 4 mins walk as well. January 2017

The house was just as beautiful as the pictures suggest! We loved the kitchen dining space and was perfect for our girlie night in and pre-drinks!! We also loved the pamper room when we were getting ready!! Location was amazing too - right in the heart of the city so everything was walking distance!! And close to the station too!! The host was also very quick at responding and helpful too!! Would definitely recommend this house!!

Lovely place and enjoyable stay. I just stayed here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. The house was located a few minutes walk from the train station and situated in a central area close to all local amenities.The sea front and pier is also walking distance. The house itself is spacious, quirky and clean. The large kitchen and seating area is perfect for entertaining guests. The first night we all stayed in and enjoyed the use of this area whilst my partner cooked us all a meal. The second night we all went out. The highlight was the make up area. Lights round the mirrors gave a showbiz feel while the girls did their make up. There was plenty of bathrooms and toilets to ensure nobody was ever waiting to freshen up. I had the most relaxing bath in the large tub. The wifi worked well in all areas of the house, and the heating warmed the house up fast, and was not needed to be on all the time. The beds were really comfy, and everyone had a pleasant sleep. Overall it was a great weekend, and is ideal for getting everyone together for a night out or simply staying in to pamper yourselves and relax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was genuinely one of the most perfect stays I've ever had PERFECT for our group of friends - from arrival everyone was so excited at what amazing place we'd found! The location is unbeatable - right in the city centre, it's close to the station, beach, bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs, but on a quiet enough street that it also feels residential. Each of us had our own comfy bed ( many friends also wanted to know where the mattresses were bought from!), and there are plenty of bathrooms between the number of people. The roll top bath was a wonderful (and inspirational for those of us who dream of our own places in the future!). We never ran out of hot water, and the there were plenty of towels provided for us too! The kitchen was one of the best stocked I've seen in terms of plates and cutlery. The long table was perfect for group breakfasts and drinks together, and the dishwasher made for easy cleaning afterwards to make it all the better. Overall - I would definitely recommend this place for big groups! KeyStay was always so good and responsive to questions regarding the location. The house had been recently refurbished, and it's clear how much effort has gone into it to make it feel like a very luxurious home away from home for their guests! Thank you for such a great stay!
